Golden Saints Club Oyster Roast

Volunteers are needed to work at the Homecoming Game Oyster Roast for the Golden Saints Club members and alumni.

Auction

Saturday, November 12, 2005

Volunteers are needed to work on the following committees: acquisitions, advertising, raffle, decorating, promotions, set-up and clean up.

Time commitment - Flexible, time varies depending on the committee you choose

20th Annual Art Show and Sale

January 28 - February 5, 2006

Volunteers are needed to assist with the following responsibilities: receiving artwork, hanging artwork, working the Opening Reception, manning the sales desk, compiling artist and sales data into computer documents, auditing unsold pieces and serving refreshments.

Art Jones Memorial Gold Tournament

Volunteers are needed to assist with finding items for the Silent Auction and the goodie bags, stuffing the goodie bags, working the registration table, running the cocktail party, watching a hole during the tournament, and assisting with other tournament activities.

NSA vs Norfolk Academy

Volunteers are needed to assist the Alumni Coordinator with Homecoming activities such as: Pre-game Alumni Golf Outing, Oyster Roast and Alumni Post-Game Party.

Teacher Appreciation Day

September 9, 2005

Volunteers are needed to assemble and deliver gifts given by the NSA Alumni Association to teachers at NSA.

Senior Breakfast

Volunteers are needed to help with the assembling of gifts for the senior class and with the setting of the breakfast tables on the afternoon of the 8th.

Senior Socials

September 9, 2005 and May 19, 2006

Volunteers are needed to provide breakfast dishes for members of the Senior Class.

Time Commitment - One morning

School Year Activities

Parent Teacher Organization

Volunteers are needed to help in all areas of the PTO. (Example: Food & Beverage Coordinator for Teacher's Lounge projects, gift-wrap, etc.)

Time commitment - Varies, depending on the responsibility you choose

Admissions Open House

Sunday, January 8, 2006

Volunteers are needed to assist the Director of Admissions in working at Open House. Assistance is also needed with preparing the school mailings, assembling school applications packets and coordinating refreshments.

Magazine Sale

Mid-October 2005

Volunteers are needed to collect magazine orders from classrooms, total daily orders and batch them for placement with the sponsor.

Time commitment - One to five hours

General Office & School Mailings

Volunteers are needed for general office work and school mailings in all school divisions. Experience with bulk mail is helpful, but not necessary.

Time commitment - Varies, depending on the responsibility you choose

Special Talents

Volunteers with special talents are encouraged to share them with the school. These could include assisting with classroom activities or school performances, reading stories for the primary students, assisting with lessons in the classroom, working with small groups of students or assisting with bulletin board projects.

Book Fair

Upper School December 1-8, 2005
Lower School March 17-30, 2006

Volunteers are needed to assist the library staff with set up and sales during the Book Fair.

Time commitment - Varies, depending on the responsibility you choose

Lower School Godwin Library

Volunteers are needed to assist checking out, re-shelving and repairing books.

Time commitment - One half-day per week

Commencement

June 10, 2006

Volunteers are needed to assist with decorating for the commencement reception.

Time commitment - Two to five hours
