General Music instruction incorporating singing, rhythm, reading, playing of pitched and unpitched percussion instruments, etc. is given in Early School through Grade 5. Chorus for both grades 6 and 7 is offered as an elective. The Upper School Chorus consists of students in the 8th through 12th grades. Performance opportunities for the choruses include school assemblies, evening concerts, and community concerts. The Upper School chorus also takes a trip every year for the purpose of performance and evaluation. The choral program is also active with District Events, the VAIS choral festival and adjudicated festivals on a regular basis.

Band
Formal instruction in instrumental music is available to students in grades 6 through 12. Instrumental music students participate in the concert band and the marching band. Concerts, competitions, and parades are typical performance opportunities for band students.
