These beautiful flowers are a little piece of Ohio and the house that Matthan grew up in. When Mom moved, we got some of the peonies that were planted in the backyard. We carried them carefully to Virginia in a cardboard box nestled in the trunk. We promptly planted them and they wilted and died away. Imagine our surprise and delight when they came up this year! Thanks Mom, for the beautiful flowers and the reminder of home.
